2. Local Town & Scenic Viewpoint
   Start your adventure with a short drive through colorful island communities. You’ll see traditional wooden homes, local schools, and small shops that show everyday island life. Then, we’ll stop at a breathtaking lookout point where you can admire panoramic views of the bay, cruise port, and lush hillsides. Your guide will share fun stories about Roatán’s Garifuna roots, early settlers, and modern island life. This is a perfect moment for photos and to truly appreciate the island’s beauty.
3. Daniel Johnson’s Monkey & Sloth Hangout
   Arrive at the famous Daniel Johnson’s Monkey & Sloth Hangout, a locally run sanctuary home to playful capuchin monkeys, colorful macaws, and gentle sloths. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to hold and interact with the monkeys and macaws, while learning fascinating facts from the animal caretakers.
   Sloths can only be observed up close, not held, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. You’ll still have plenty of time for amazing photos with them as they rest peacefully in their enclosures.
   The sanctuary’s friendly staff will guide you safely through each interaction and share how many of these animals were rescued and given a second chance. This stop is always a guest favorite and perfect for all ages!
4. Chocolate Factory
   Next, dive into the delicious world of Honduran cacao. See how cacao beans are roasted, ground, and turned into smooth, rich chocolate. You’ll get to sample several flavors, from dark chocolate to tropical fruit blends, while your guide explains how chocolate production supports local families and preserves traditional methods. This sweet stop combines flavor, history, and culture in one tasty experience.
5. Rum Cake Factory
   Follow the sweet aroma of freshly baked rum cake! Visit a local family-owned rum cake factory where you’ll learn how this beloved dessert is made. Watch the process, sample a slice of warm cake infused with island rum, and discover why this treat has become a Roatán favorite. You’ll also find rum-infused sauces and souvenirs to take home.
6. West Bay Beach
   After exploring and meeting the island’s friendliest residents, it’s time to unwind. We’ll head to West Bay Beach, known for its soft white sand and turquoise waters. Swim, relax under a palm tree, or simply enjoy the view with a refreshing drink in hand. Optional activities like snorkeling or beach chair rentals are available for an additional fee.
7. Return to Port or Hotel
   After a perfect day of exploration and relaxation, your driver will take you back comfortably and on time — guaranteed return at least two hours before cruise departure.
